Believe
That the sun will shine tomorrow
The moon will rise each night.
In things you cannot always see,
That wrong will never win over right.

That somewhere, someone is thinking of you
That somewhere, someone is lonely too.
That anything you do, is good if you give it your best.
And honesty is always the best policy.

That people no matter how good or bad, will die.
That dreams only come true if you try.
That crying does not mean you are weak.
That love is the greatest gift you can give.

That a frown takes more energy then a smile.
That a loyal friend is a priceless find.
That being true to yourself, is all you need to do.
And that no one can ever take your spirit from you.

IGNORANCE

A land of plenty, bountiful joy.

Empathetic reasoning, devils ploy.

Stupidities commended.

Nativity recommended.

Understanding fading as the evil grows.

The lie that flourish in the pristine garden.

Of injustice, and inequity sown in it's rows.

Utter blindness to plain facts

and turned glances at revelations unsaid.

A community of unsound advice.

A never ending allegiance

to anything, or anyone unworthy

to all that is foul, self-absorbed and dirty.

To live there, one must be lost in it's glow.

Of it's forgiving, pacifying

self gratifying, comforting

stagnant flow.

Once you are plucked free

from it's poisonous bed of roses.

Reality floods every ounce of your being,

in highly effective doses.

You find you are inoculated

from unconditional, situations

the searing sound of reason

invades your constitution

Branding your skin,

Imprinting your soul

preparing you for the human toll

The price you pay for knowledge is high

For you must sympathize, you must care

With this comes pain and humility

and a desire for a greater state of grace

A love for the human race.
